| | | I recently went sailing in the Bahamas, and on Bimini, an fairly small island, there was this abandoned hotel right next to the marina we stayed at on night.
I also went snorkeling in a shipwreck, the Sapona, near South Bimini, although I have no pictures of the inside of it. The only picture I have of it that is less than 100k is crap, and I am too tired to resize the good ones.

| | | Neat finds. I've heard of the Sapona before, here's a little more info: http://www.concret.../ships/ww1/sapona/ Yep, it's actually made of concrete... one of the very last from WWI still recognizable.
I'm so awesome. It's kind of ridiculous, really. |

| | | I'm sure that one was the ship used in a movie from the 80s, in which a bunch of nazi soldiers rise up to take over the world or something. ridiculous movie, but kind of interesting for the abandonments they use in the film. If I come across the name of the flick I'll post it...

The name of the movie you are thinking about is Shock Waves. It was set mostly in what looked like an abandoned hotel or resort of some sort. I haven't seen it for probably over 15 years though so its all abit fuzzy, heh.

| | | Not half as fuzzy as mine, alptraum lol. I do remember there were some interesting scenes around what looked like a washed-up freighter, quite large. If it was still there it would be interesting to explore I'm sure. I wonder if the resort is still there, abandoned. It must have been beautiful in it's day. Cheers

| | | I don't believe so. Bothe North, and South Bimini are inhabited, so I don't think that would have been done.

You're thinking of the Bikini Atoll, located in the South Pacific.
