| | | This is my favorite town, at night they have the most interesting lights for exposure shots. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

| | | I really like 1. I love attics like that. I like how the light splits the floor at the bottom of the picture too. The yellow and brown tones seem a wee bit overpowering though. Possibly adjust the levels? 2 is nice too. Could be great for using in other artwork ;) It's got good texture

| | | Number 1: Very strong, good use of light, color, and formal shape. A keeper. Number 2: Is just off symmetrical, making it look accidentally crooked. The lighting is nice, but doesn't really hold interest. Number 3: A bit typical, losing some detail in the highlights in the lower right. Number 4: Great use of formal shape and line, but it's a stop or so overexposed. Number 5: Looks soft and needs a bit more punch to the contours of the sink, I'd say your negative is overexposed. Number 6: Would be my favorite shot of the series if not for the blown out window in the background. Very nice angle and selected focus. Number 7: Overexposed. I'd like it better if the left side of the overhang wasn't cut off. Number 8: I like this shot a lot. Maybe a little to crooked for the formal look of the rest of the photo. Still overexposed in the lower-left.
Overall, I see a lot of potential in these photos. Try some different compositions, change your angles and such. Also watch your light meter and bracket to avoid over/under exposures. Keep shooting.
Today is your way out... |
