| | | Number 1 is definitely your strongest. Great moody lighting and good use of shadow. It just reeks of atmosphere. I love it. Number 2 is good texture shot, but it doesn't hold my interest very long. Maybe more background. Number 3 has a nice bland color scheme that works well. I'd rather see the light bulb in focus, as opposed to having the tail-end of the machine sharp. It's centered focus takes away from the photo. Number 4 doesn't really work for me. The color placement in the leaves is interesting for a moment, but the overall photo doesn't hold me. Number 5 is a much better window/vine shot. Like the more formal approach. Might want to print a bit dark to pop out the texture of the wall more. Number 6 is great. Nice textures, color palette, good use of symmetry, and I love the little cobweb, nice detail. Overall, a good set of photos, 1 & 6 blowing everything else away. I think some of the compositions need work, others need small tweaks. Keep it up!

| | | To me, 1 and 2 seemed underexposed, but I still like them a lot. The rest didn't really get my attention at all, except for number 4. I think that was a great edit, the color scheme is really pretty. Good job overall, please post more.

| | | 1) Strongest shot. The lighting is superb (however slightly underexposed), the subject well defined and in focus, and it does a good job of setting the mood. 2) Good idea, but to really pull this off you need a next to flawless repeating pattern usually. To improve this, I would have looked a little more to the left so the same rows would focus almost all together, giving the depth of field an even feel with the direction of the camera. I would have also tried eliminating the noise in the background of the picture as it detracts from the pattern. 3) This is your weakest. No clear subject. The part that you are lead to believe is the subject is out of focus. The angle is also rather plain. 4) Composure in this is a little bland. The colors are weak because of overexposure, though it looks like it was pretty difficult to get a good exposure as you had some pretty direct sunlight. 4) The composure is better in this, but it feels a little cramped. Backing up or zooming could have helped by making the window a little less significant, and placing it a little closer to the right third of the picture would have emphasized it regardless of size. This one as well is overexposed. Colors could have been a little brighter - instead they are washed out. 5) This is your second strongest I believe. Though IMHO, I think it could have been improved by getting a little closer and looking straight on. I hope that was the kind of criticism you were hoping for. Thank you for sharing, and keep at it.

| | | One and six are pretty killer. They've both got great compositions and they really hold a viewer's attention. Two is also a decent shot, but it doesn't hold a candle to these other two. The other three simply don't work as well as the others. Nice set overall. Again, the first and last are stellar photographs. You've definitely got the right ideas so by all means get out there and shoot some more. Pirate.

| | | 4,5 and 6 do nothing for me, nothing at all. But 1 is great, I love the sliver of lighting rather than a full side-on, 2 gives me mixed feelings, I panic that the "thing" at the top-right (middle-ish) isn't in focus and I can't tell exactly what it is...and 3 I like simply because it gives the appearance of a broken spine or something, just collapsed over under its own weight.

| | | I like 1,2 and 6, although it bugs me that those things in #2 are just out of focus. I want to be able to see what they are. #6 definitely has the strongest composition. Did you shoot that horizontally as well to fit in all of the door knobs? It would be interesting to see how that would affect how the photo reads. On #3, I think I would suggest focusing on the items in the foreground. As it is, the back focusing makes the whole photo look soft. Keep shooting.
