|  | | | Hey, Im starting work on doing a little documentary on Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. Its not accually picture but it still deserves criticism.

3. doesn't really show anything, just some quick room pans
4. contains no history or real educational information,
despite it being a "documentary"
Images of decaying buildings has a negligible amount
of initial shock value to the mainstream, but past that
you're going to need to work a little harder to hold
attention.

1) The Captions are difficult to read
2) If its a documentary why spin on the roundabout?
3) The soundtrack could be better,
4) Its overly grainy in places.
5 The clip seemed to be more about the explorers and less about the place.
It might stand up as a video for friends / whatever but its by no means inspiring me to watch a full 10 - 20 minuite documentary of you. Your trailer should be aiming to get across more than clips of the final video, It should challenge someone, make them want to know more and have enough impact on them to make them want to watch a documentary of the place. I'm not really getting that at present.

i second the notion.
i am now not only confused as to what this is exactly about, but i have a headache.
if you want an "old film" effect, i suggest you go out and buy a Super 8.
in the meantime, i am going to find some ibuprofen.

Agreed.
The shakey camera angles, the cheap video effect to make it look older, and the cheezy music... Oh, and let's not forget the captions... Ruin it completely. Get a tripod on wheels, don't add cheezy effects, and actually include a good amount of history, and you'll have me sold.
I'm not trying to be an asshole, i'm just saying it's boring at the present time, and you should seriously re-edit and re-shoot... And do a little bit of re-thinking.

thats coming from somebody who is currently working on a documentary about UE.
However, like the others said, there isnt much history in it, but understandable if its just a trailer.
I dunno, UE isnt that glamourous.
