Happiedaze and I went Friday to try it out. Collider Data Center has the property now and had new signs saying no trespassing ans that all persons must check in at the RV. there was an RV on the north side by the large building with at at least one person at it. In light of the recent change of hands and the new owners, we chose not to risk the UE.

...They will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines!

Yeah.. I found out the hard way, too. Went out there, saw the RV you mentioned and the signs. Bummer.

I went out to the supercollider yesterday and saw the RV with someone living in it, the signs posted saying to sign in at the RV, and some of the doors were propped open with ladders as though they were working on the place.

Does anyone have any pictures of the supercollider tunnel or its entrance after it closed in 1993. I live near this facility and pass by it everyday when I drive to work. I recently found the site some 3 miles down the road where they started digging the 15 miles of tunnel. I have heard it is now filled with water up to the ground level.

I went there yesterday and saw the RV with someone living there providing security for the place and noticed some of the doors propped open with ladders. Looks like they are really starting to do something with the place.

Wow... I'm sort of stupid. I didn't realize that was him. Like I said, I'm new to this site, and so is he. I didn't know his screenname so I totally missed the part that said, "Happiedaze and I..." and thought it said, "Happiedaze, I went out and tried it Friday..." I thought it was addressed TO me, and not ABout me... and only scanned the whole thing. I'm still learning how to post on here, so please forgive me for my incompetance for the time being. I'm so silly.

I don't know about yall but I'm more interested in the tunnel than the facility. There were 14 shafts dug. Does anyone know what happened to all of them?

That's not a problem to all of us. They are 4.4km apart.

I mean, it's worth to it to make sure that the tunnels are inaccessible, because even if they are submerged it would be worth it.

I just got off the phone with the guy at the Data Center...he says there is nothing left there but an empty shell and that they are putting in a private data center in there, and if you check with the guy in the RV, he will most likely let you snap a picture early on next week (i.e. Monday). I won't be able to make it out there, but someone take advantage of this opportunity...

My husband was the project manager of one the contractors on the supercollider project. He said there is nothing interesting to explore out there. There is one shaft, around 280 feet deep and about an eighth of a mile of tunnel, both full of water.

Sorry, guys. I haven't been on this site much since I discovered it a few months ago. My husband does have some pictures of the project and if he can find them, I'll post them.
