The fishy look to #1 somewhat distracts me from the otherwise awesome image while adding intrigue to it.

The theatre seats just blows me away. Great job.

The floor is awesome too. Great exposure treatment. I'd hate to be the person that found the weak spot.

The saw blade... meh. impartial.

Shots 2, 3, and 5 are all awesome. I'm torn on the fisheye in the first photo, I like it, but I'd like to know what it looked like without it as well.

Nice set, you have a good eye.

thanks for the comments, It seems people are on the fence about the fisheye...it is hard to use without making the shot a complete gimmick.

I liked yaggy's advice, he was making a follow-up joke on a post last year. I guess not much has changed. :/

I think they are all awesome, especially the shot with the floor. I think the fisheye is good but I like Escher and it kind of has that feel to it.

Nice gallery! I like the stairs photo!

These pictures are very well done. My favorite is the one with the fallen out floor.

you have a great eye for patterns in your environment. i love the deep patterned details, and the way it drags your eye around the photos.

beautiful work
though the close-up/ texturey shots verge on formulaic
which leads me to this:

looks to me like you need a challenge:
do ever shoot color?
ever tried shooting in other formats?
portraits in interesting locals?

fuck with that camera
lose control of your proficiency, ride on your technical brilliancy into something else

What is in picture 3? I dig' all the pictures, the stair shot and the collapsed floor are my faves.

What exactly is #3?

I like the fish eye shot, it really shows the scale of that room, something I tried and for the most part failed to achieve in my pictures.

I really like the shot of the floor which has decayed and fallen to nothing. That is very nice.

I find that to be one my biggest problems; expanding out and doing something different/new. I agree, the texture, detail shots can go a long way. I shoot digital color, but I as of right now I just like the look of B&W film.

I sometimes shoot MF, but for web posting, I don't see the need.

Thanks for the comments.

3, 5, 6 are killer
the stairs shot is pretty obligatory, but i dig the wide angle work in the first.
however, the chairs shot doesnt really do anything for me.

Nice stuff, I especially like the falling away floor one.

I really like these. Texture, tension, contrast, composition all there. The high speed grain just adds a certain element as well. The only one that isn't carrying its weight in this set is the saw blade. The floor shot is incredible, congratulations.

I really like most of these. Numbers 2 and 3 I'm unsure about, but I do like the almost optical illusion effect in 3. Really good work overall.
