One funny thing I noticed: On both main PM pages, some of the page links at the top cause the browser screen to be redrawn when mouse focus leaves the link. I don't think it did that before this latest upgrade. FWIW, I'm using IE 6 under XP.
If you're feeling bored, could you add a 'messages per page' pulldown to the PM control set? 10/20/50/100? Could be handy for those heavy duty message searches.

Yep, the whole client area kinda blinks when I take the cursor off some of the message page links (1, 2, 3, etc). It's intermittent and only happens on 2 or 3 of the 18 page links. Could be my computer weirding out, I dunno.
