lexi I see alot of improvement since your last pics
I see you are trying to get around the lack of tripod
you are choosing quirky compositions: run with it, maybe study some books on composition to try and understand why and what you are doing and what that does to the overall feel of a photo
I remember one guy in a drawing class i had continually creating "off" compositions that would put the teacher ill at ease and she would try to "correct" him
then we all figured out he was putting us ill at ease on purpose and pushing our buttons in certain ways
shoot from many different angles
compositional choices create different moods

get that tripod
