|  | | | Has anyone been inside the old Ft. Worth Outlet Square? I was in FW this past weekend and saw it, but it was all locked up and being that its in such a busy area I didn't want to keep poking around. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with trying to get in. It always seemed like such an interesting building when it was open so i'd loved to see the inside now.

| | | | lol. sounds like a good idea. I'm pretty sure there's a library near by that connects to it. The entrance that is connected to some hotel via "skywalk" was locked, but i'm sure there's bound to be a way in. I might have to try the library first and then some offices next time i'm out there. Thanks for the idea.

Naaahh dont try to scare the kid, everyone knows the USAF is way cool these days. You can just talk your way out of trouble with them, they dont even care if people wander into sensitive and off limits areas with cameras, be sure and take your camera!

| | | | I have prowled around the outlet mall pretty thoroughly and it is pretty secure. Some windows have been broken, but they got boarded up pretty good.
If you are really bent on going in there, I recommend going to see the dentist who I think is the only tenant in that building still.

Yea, Like the Live Ammo Training I walked Into a while back at the old base Housing. Fortunately I saw the warning sign, did a U-Turn and left rather quickly. Did manage to go back another time and get pics of the house I grew up in when I lived there though, although it was WITH PERMISSION!
Anyways, yea all they do is training, Share an airfield where they test and train for Fighter jets, Test and train with new weapons, armour and other things, etc... not to mention maintain an active prison on site!
Have to agree with Barry on this one ... Good Luck! I'll watch for ya in the news, oh... wait, something tells me that wont be in the news when you disappear!

Make sure you hide you camera so you can email us the pix of the prison in the "undisclosed country" You know, the one with differing rules on interrogation techniques and such. You would be the envy of the site with cool pix like that!

| | | | Carswell is still very much active. I was married to a navy man at one time, and I know what activity sounds like. They've got planes flying over my house all day and most of the night. The closed base excuse is B.S. I still have my military ID so maybe I'll go take a few pics.
