Ok, so I took some of the critiques from the first set I posted and tried some new things.

First, two pictures I had posted before - just with a new spin on them:

1.

2.

Now for some that haven't been posted before:

3.

4.

5.

love the first. pic and love the beams of light in the third. this place looks marvelous in B&W. nice perspective. sure makes the machinery look huge.

I think the high contrast B&W works well for Beth. My only minor critique is that the highlights in #2 are a little too overblown.

I'm not sure how I could have fixed that, either (at least without losing all detail in the darker areas). There were some other explorers on site that day, and I asked one guy if he could give me a light meter reading for that spot, I only had ISO400 in my camera and I bracketed off what he gave me - and this was the best one out of the three...

I know the spot well and it is definitely a tough spot to meter. That big hole in the roof really throws things off. Afternoon shot, right?

Yup, right around 2:00 if I remember right...

I want to go back and shoot for an HDR image.

Here are some mid-morning shots that I took this winter. Doesn't have that nice sunbeam, but the light is much more even (though, still blown highlights). The (badly scanned) squares were shot on 400 speed film and the colours are digital.

damn now you got some real talent..great work....

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

These are incredible. I especially like numbers 2 and 3. The lighting in those is phenomenal. Keep up the talented work!

No5 and No6 are definitely best exposure-wise. It's a shame No4 doesn't have the same shade of sky as No5. Maybe try a polarizing filter? They're all strong compositions, but the highlights need some serious toning down in the first three. I'd suggest burning them in with Photoshop.

Looks like a great place to explore. I've been to the Bethlehem, PA one a bunch of times. Fascinating and overwhelming, these steel giants..

1,5,6 are your really strong shots. I'd suggest straightening 5 a bit more...otherwise its great. Your shot of the pump house looks steamy, and out of focus, no sure what the issue was.

Bethlehem is such a great site, it never disappoints! But then Buffalo is such a fantastic city filled with UE goodies.
