| | | Hey Turkey, The Mills / D silo pic is great! I really like the light/glow behind the mills, looks very enticing! Shame about that annoying tree on the left hand side of the mills there. And erm? No offence to anyone from Leeds, but it looks much nicer by night! ;) An interesting pic, the river leads your eye to the horizon nicely, I might have considered cropping out the scaffold in the immediate foreground, but a minor thing really. Not a great fan of the cog pic, there's nothing wrong with it as such, just does nothing for me. The Manchester mill pic doesn't seem to have the same sharpness/clarity as your others, was it taken with the old camera as well? The last cooling tower pic is great, looks like some sort of UFO styley craft that's just landed on top of where you were standing, especially with the white out glow around the edges. Very close encounters! Cheers, JD

| | | Your shots are pretty damn hot, but you should really consider toning down the TURKEY FORGOTTEN UK. That gigantic signature distracts and detracts from otherwise nice photos.

| | | I can't tell if your pictures are good or bad. Take off the watermark if you want more serious critiques... I simply can't judge the photos with that junk on em. GVM

I'm with Glass on that one. TURKEY FORGOTTEN UK is distracting. Learn how to take some criticism.

| | | First pic looks abit overexposed to me. the last one seems a bit 'noisy'.... If you don't take off the watermark at the very least downsize it. They look like a business card with the big text on them.

| | | Posted by robdobi not a fan of the dropshadow on the watermark in the 2nd, perhaps a glow or innerbevel would work better.

I was also temped to critique the watermark itself. Turkey: If this was a real art school critique you'd be laughed out.

| | | Oh dear me, This forum is a "photo critique" forum, not a bloody "watermark critique"... GLASS : I'd be laughed out would I? I don't think so, I don't personally think any of my efforts are "laughable". OTHERS : Like my initial sentence directs, its the photograph, not the watermark which counts. I was expecting some useful critique, not childish remarks about my watermark. OU812 : I can take critique believe me, I just don't like the fact that my actual photographic skills and requests for critique were ignored for want of slating my watermark... Never mind... turk ;)

| | | Not only is this a great series, but most all of your posts have been very consistent. You usually have unique and interesting composition. The sharp colors contribute a great deal as well (something the d50 tends to excel at). my personal favorite in this one happens to be the "Cooling Tower". Thanks for sharing and keep it up.
