| | | I'm not a photography expert. Ok I am-- --but I think they could use more nudity. Glass, Tamer of Redheads REAL CRITIQUE
1) Could use straightening and I think that the background is too distracting. Because the body is laid out symmetrically I wish the background kept the pattern, without the boxes and instruments. 2) I'm not sure if this is selective desaturation or not, but I love how the red hair stands out from the pinkish/peach flesh tones (I'm sure very intentional) to have tonal contrast across the reds in the photo. I also wish this was straighter. [last edit 4/19/2006 7:50 PM by Glass - edited 1 times]

| | | I really like the idea in the first one, and the execution is almost perfect. 2 suggestions, one if you reshoot and one for this version: move the boxes and espresso machine off the counter (joking, I know it's really a magic bullet), and tilt the shot about 2 degrees counterclockwise, and it's killer. You could also get all fancy and shoot 2 exposures, 1 with the blender in front in focus, and 1 with the background in focus, and sandwich the 2 a la www.cambridgeincolour.com, but I'm kinda fond of well-done shots with blur in the foreground, so ignore that if you like. Oh yeah, more nudity never hurt anyone.
yep. |
