|  | | | It would not be right to call Doel a ghosttown, not even half the village is abandoned. Fact is, in 2020 the village will be gone for a new industrial harbour. The construction of a large dock and container terminal capable of receiving deep-sea ships is already underway on a site immediately next to the village. They want to build a second one where the village now stands.
Until that day the people of Doel will stay and fight against the demolition of the town.

| | | | Very interesting circumstances. I really like the quality of number 8, very formal and great contrasts. Number 5 is a great use of mirrors to show a broken down building. Your attention to form shows itself again in number 6. Number 9 is a beautiful image, but could benefit from more exposure time and a heavier contrast filter, maybe a 3. I think the building pictures lack the beauty of formality and composition that your other photos have. Great work overall! I'd recommend enlarging with a contrast filter to make the textures of the buildings and scenery pop a little more.

| | | | That's a good idea, gives me one to explore villages that are going to be bulldozed for an airport expansion, except i didn't come up with the idea myself and so don't really want to copy, but this is very good.
