You may already be aware of this, but i found this thing called a "microsoft Power Toy" called image resizer. all you do is right click the image(s) you want to resize, select the size and it immediately makes a resized copy of the original.

i've found that the microsoft picture resizer reduces the quality of the images significantly.

I had forgotten about powertoys. They also have a RAW file viewer that looks handy for use in explorer. Thanks.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I use a freeware called Irfanview. It can do single resize as well as batch resize/renaming. Very handy.
