I love the Ford. I'm a Ford guy. The marker lights on the fenders and the side mirror make me think this is larger than a standard pickup...maybe a 2.5 ton flatbed delivery or it pulled a fifth wheel trailer?
|
it had a flatbed and dualies. more of a workin' farm truck than a pickup.

Thanks for the clarification. I'd take one of those old trucks, over just about anything, to cruise around in.

| | | Found this in the woods next to my house.I have also found mufflers, tires,a Mercury cougar symbol, and other various parts.I think the people that once lived in the now-demolished house must've liked to work on cars. Its a mid 70s Mercury Cougar. | | | Posted by NickSan I doubt there will ever be a “Favorite Crane” thread, so can I put this here? The Marion 7400 Walking Dragline!!
|
Holy shit I know where this is at. I think they actually started using this one again. Here are 3 of my nominations for the "Favorite Crane" thread.
It was in September, we saw their silhouettes fade away, outlined on the horizon against the rays of the setting sun. |

i'm pretty sure this one's from the same area.i think the cops go in there 2 or 3 times a year to clean all the cars out.

There's also a 4x4 trail that goes from Burketon to Raglan with a big gravel pit at the Raglan end of the trail. Where I was yesterday was north of Mosport.

| | | cars are my only exception to the "take nothing" rule. if i find a car in good shape and is fixable. i take it. i can't stand to see old cars rot away. i've saved 3 so far. an 84 ford tempo i found inside the garage of an abandoned house (it was abandoned for at least 5 years so i doubt they were planning to return for it) a 1966 ford mustang convertible. saved from an abandoned farms barn. (saved this baby just in time, the week after i took it, the barn collapsed) and a 61 chrysler 300G. (this ones the most recent.) still working on it. (saved from and abandoned garage that's been abandoned since the late 70's) [last edit 5/19/2006 3:03 PM by Tempoboy1992 - edited 1 times]

Your like me, I save things that are due for demolition. Cant say that I have saved a car but if I was to find something old like th Mustang or the 300 I would have to make a trip back with my trailer.

| | | a '61 300G is a good car to get ahold of.. I'm assuming it's a Hardtop? I once got a '56 Ford Wagon for free, becuase they wanted it moved. turns out the inside of the car was full of goodies but I couldn't tell that before due to all the mold on the windows.. Car was only good for parts which i used on a '55 Ford Convert.. Everytime i drive the wrecker I get people asking to remove cars for them, Most are junk but sometimes(like the Wagon) you hit paydirt.

Thats looks like a '73. Plum crazy was only available in '70 and '71. It looks like someone put a lot of work into it just to be stolen.

| | | the engine and tranny were yanked out of it to power something (see it later in the gallery). When it comes to cars, the whole unofficial ue ethos can kiss my ass. I've seen about 25 cars on here that could be salvaged and restored... it kills me that they aren't. As much as i sink Tempoboys' taste is all in his mouth (dude, Tempos???), i can respect him for saving the Mustang and Chrysler (got pics of the Mu-tang?) Unlike a building that takes big bucks to save when its gone too far down, a car is much cheaper to save a piece of the past. Samurai
