|  | | | Pictures were taken with a cheap Olympus Camedia C-370, 3.2 megapixel.
I like using a cheap and small camera because I can carry it around *always*, and if I drop it (happened 2 times already) it doesn't break.
I don't use photoshop and don't crop the pictures, because I believe I should know my camera well, and shouldn't have to compensate artificially for my own errors.
At the moment I like to roam the well known places of the city and see if I can look at them in a new way. Temporarily we've run out deserted places in Rotterdam, so I have to practice more subtle and unspectacular kinds of exploration.
Well ... someone with such a long and pompous introduction deserves to be flamed :-)

As for your photos. I think they'd look great after some levels adjustments. Especially the last one. Nice photo.

that is admirable
but i use a nikon f3, kodak b&w film,
a beseler enlarger, along with kodak and ilford print paper
and i still crop and adjust contrast
using that olympus is artificial in itself
the camera is just automatically picking all the settings and levels for you
(unless you're shooting RAW, but it doesn't look like it)
good photographs, i enjoy the escalator one

You're right of course. It had slipped my mind how much even a cheap camera does for you. I might try using RAW format, but my camera might be too cheap/primitive to extract the RAW files.
Now where is that CD that came with it ...
BTW, these were 4 acceptable pictures out of a recent batch of 80. So I have a score of 1 acceptable pic in 20. What's your score?
