| | | Surf the Internet for money via UER? < on 2/1/2006 2:25 AM >
| | | From Av's Universal FAQ thread: "Q: Will UER pay me to surf the internet? Yes. We pay 15 cents an hour (up to a maximum of 100 hours) in US dollars for staring at certain webpages. To become part of this UER surfing program, send your $500 US startup money to our PayPal account." May I be the first to say... "uh, what?" Is this some kind of joke? And if so, what is it doing in a forum-wide posting about UER's rules? -- Mat [last edit 2/1/2006 2:31 AM by MatC - edited 3 times]

Hey, thanks. I am still wondering, though, why this decidedly odd fiction appears in what is otherwise a serious document intended to school n00bs in the ways of the Force UER. It seems a bit out of place. -- Mat

| | | I find it works quite well, and yes you do get paied (15c/h for a max of 100h) so if anyone wants to do the math, $500 Startup fee, subtract $15 (15c/h*100h) equals a net loss of 485... is a great idea for av to make money, and make people think they are making money...

| | | I've reviewed the terms and conditions for the "get paid to surf" program, and I have to warn you all the whole thing treads dangerously close to being money laundering. Still, that's a way cooler reason to go to jail than trespassing, so get off your butts and send Av a cheque, money order, or well-concealed non-sequential bills today!
