3: Straightening, I like the image otherwise.
4: Perhaps take a double exposure, one with the sky metered, the other with the ground, and sandwich them in Photoshop.

I plan to and wanted to. But the people who live in the houses across the street were outside watching and I hurried a bit. But getting ON the tracks was the one shot I went for, and didnt get.

1. I just made the colour stand out a bit more in photoshop. That's it.
I was using a basic canon powershot digital that day.
2. I think the only other thing in the entire lot that has not been burned down is a small building that looks like it may have been a ticket booth at one time.
I'll give it a shot.
And when you start talking double exposure, is when this girl gets lost. I'm either going to have to find decent photo classes...or start the trial and error process on my own.

I love abandoned amusement parks and the pics you took are a VERY good start to your future photography! Whether it was intentional or not, everyone does pics from the "on the tracks" view, it was nice to see a new angle.
Oh and I think #3 is perfect a little crooked, it adds to the charm!
Fantastic job, I hope you'll go back there and get us some more!!

yea that last one pissed me off....i was on one side of the fence and had others who wouldnt jump it on the other side waiting for me and yelling to hurry up! Not happy. And it taught me a big lesson about trying to slow down and not rush.

That's craaazzyyyyy... at least for me. I'd be scared out of my mind, and I definitely wouldn't trust those banisters to hold my weight.
I really like the second photo a lot, but I agree with dev. Wider would've been better.

The bottom part of the tracks would be fine to stand on...and I'd go up a bit. I certainly wouldnt try and climb to the top.
Moving Unit has some of the best shots of this particular coaster I've seen...

Thanks...but halfway decent start is really being generous!  It's ok though - it will come in time as I dont plan on giving up.
I plan on getting lots of hands on experience sooooooooooooon!
