| | | | Going to be in Denver for a Week... < on 12/26/2005 5:49 PM >
| | | Hi everybody, I live in Texas but I will be in Denver for my brother's wedding from the 1st of January, to the 7th effectively and I was wondering if they were any ""must-see" places of interest, drains, etc., what you guys wear to stay warm, average temperature/weather and that sort of thing. I saw you guys had a meeting a little while back, but I won't be able to attend this next one At any rate, any replies would be appreciated, thanks. | | | Phantom Creek (an old red brick tunnel) The Churnel (in Colorado Springs) The Citadel (Colorado Springs) All are DRAINS - As for weather - it can be 15 at night and 70 in the day (like it is today)

| | | Awesome, thanks you guys! I like draining, and as an added bonus, they tend to stay reasonably warm My Grandparents used to live in Lakewood, but they moved, not sure where exactly, but within the Denver area anyways. Unfortunately, I probably won't have a ride of my own, since were are all driving up there together as a family for my brother's wedding and stuff, but I might could bum a ride from my cousin's or someone else. Is Phantom Creek also in Colorado Springs? I don't think I will be able to easily go to any places outside of Denver. If I recall correctly, Colorado Springs is about 70 miles from Denver? At any rate I have to go right now, but I will post some more questions and stuff later, and thanks again!

| | | No. Phantom Creek is right IN downtown Denver. It wa part of the T-Rex storm sewer project I believe. Den-Co has a lot of drains to explore...

| | | Alright well I am in Denver now. apparently my grandparents still live in Lakewood too. At any rate I should be more or less available till Saturday to do exploring. PM me if anyone is interested and I will give you my phone-number and we can work something out or whatever. Thanks as always. P.S. I looked up a drain in the DB and I am going to go drive around and try and find it. [last edit 1/3/2006 1:00 AM by Mellon_Collie - edited 1 times]
