Sunday's Trip

We made a short road trip Sunday and had a great time. Found some spots to explore that were not quite urban and I know that there may be a few pictures here that are borderline UE but we had a kick-ass time anyway.

We actually travelled through about 5-6 tiny towns west of Ft. Worth but these pix are only from three.

There was a fire in part of this building but this area looked pretty much untouched. I was kind of surprised by the floor joists here too. In the burned section, it appeared that the flooring on top of the joists was sheetrock and was pretty unstable. I found this out when I fell through a section that we all had walked on just a few minutes before. It was only about knee deep and I was able to get out pretty quick but it was a surprise. LOL

No. Although I have been in them in the past, they are closely watched by the local police who prosecute to the fullest extent of the law if the catch you. They've had a big problem with vandals in the past and the building is registered as a national historic landmark so they don't joke around with this place. I'm trying to get permission with the owner for a private tour so we'll have to see.
