| | | These are all pretty strong, but the dancers in #1 make it stand out by a long shot. In #3, I find the angle too extreme.

| | | lol i liked them all, I think they were all excellently done, even #3 which made me a bit uncomfortable when looking at it
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. |

I like the angle on it, it draws your eye to a different focal point than you would expect, you would expect that it would be the shed. they are all pretty good

| | | i vote the top one as the best background so far for the floating reindeer heads. they match part of the wall through the back there. minus reindeer, the third one i like a lot. i think it's partly the subject matter, but it makes me want to go down the steps and off to the right to see what's there. and the last one for getting all the steps in and lit well. it seems to not matter so much the door's chopped off because your eye just passes to follow the angles round. sam

| | | 1, 3, and 4 work very well a set. 2 doesn't really fit. They all have some very interesting angles. Is 2 a door hinge? If so than the angle is enough to make one queazy. 4 is beautifully done. How wide was the lense you used?
The following sentence is false. The preceding sentence is true. |

#2 is a door hinge from this door:
As for a wide lense, I am using a Sigma 11mm-18mm. It's hard to NOT get my tripod in most shots with this one... <E

| | | I like 1,3, and 4 alot. Great composition. I like #2, but I think you should have gone for a more extreme DOF or no DOF effect at all. Because it's a wide DOF it doesn't draw my eye to anything. But there is some DOF so I can't examine the detail on the blurred part. The perspective on #4 reminds me of something by MC Escher. | | | My impressions/opinions; #1 is a pretty cool picture. I like the look overall subject, and the color range. But at first glance it felt unbalanced to me. Looking closer I realized it is in fact very balanced...the door and the dancers... but maybe that's the problem, it's too balanced...they almost seem to be in competition for the shot. The color contrast and the uniqueness of the dancer image more than makes up for any minor composition issues. It's a good all around picture. #2 is my favorite. It should be noted I'm a sucker for a close up. I assumed that the main subject was a hinge... But the shape is so universal it could almost be a distance shot of decaying 10,000 gallon tank or a fallen pillar of a great building. A lot of people try to get too many different things into a close up. Yours has great variety of color and form, without getting crowded or busy. I really like this picture I think 3 and 4 are very similar, they are both "the vertigo shots". I like 3 more than 4, but it's probably my preference for the fire escape style stairs. The thing with the vertigo shot is this... If you pull it off its one of the coolest shots you can get in UE. If you get the angle a little off, it just looks awkward. 3 and 4 are, in my opinion the latter. The shots seem too rotated, if that makes any sense...another user appreciated them on a "Resident Evil" level. I guess they do have a video game sort of feel to them. You could title them "FPS, mouse look enabled".
Over all theses are quality pictures. What's the format/film? I'd love to see a gallery of your work.
