| | | I'll start by saying I am a free lanced amateur photographer at best, but I am curious of what I can look at to improve my shots.
Shot number one, Basement of Hangman's Hospital.
Shot number two, stone grinding wheels at a brick plant
Shot number three, Rosetown Pioneer on a cloudy day These are shots that I am rather happy with, however I want to know what areas I can improve on.

| | | #1 - looks great - maybe darken the room, let the shadows creep in a bit to emphasize the shaft of light. #2 - i'm missing a focal point #3 - love the color and the simplicity. i'd just move the building up in the frame. right now, it's too evenly divided.

| | | The pioneer building is great. a stronger composition would make the picture as cool as the place.

| | | too much going on in shot #2. try moving closer to something and focusing on that (maybe I should say concentrating on that instead...lol) shot #3 is okay... learn the rule of thirds. I would have gone back on a sunny day and shot it using a polarizing filter from straight on. Super blue sky, bright yellow roof and red sides with the green foreground would've looked good.

| | | Brighten up the grain elevator shot with software, or as stated before, reshoot it with the sun and polarize filter. The basement shot might do with bumping up the contrast a bit which will bring out the ray of sun a bit more and darken the shadowy area a bit. The one in the middle does nothing for me, sorry. Nothing to look at really. What is there is a bit overexposed at the bottom. Perhaps go in close for a macro of the grinding wheels or what have you, macro shots of textures can be interesting. Its great to see someone from the flatlands out exploring...
