Lots of smashy-smashy here. I have no idea how they're gonna change this into the trendy condos, but I guess stranger things have happened. I really enjoyed the multitude of bicycles dripping from the trees and windows! I only got to spend a short time here because I was taking the dog to the vet and she was sitting in the car waiting, but it looked like it would have been fantastic 6 months to a year ago...

Wow. What friendly people.
I do not sell prints of my art. My art is a personal thing.
Believe me, I do not trash buildings, and this is not a passing interest. I used to do this in England (30 odd years ago) - and English people in general have much more respect for old buildings than people here do. This place is rife with vandals.
Don't worry - I don't need you or your petty 'community'. I will find my own way.

This comes from us being burned badly. Some Very negative things have come from us being too quick to trust. We are open minded but not gulliable. If you are serious you will find everyone in Alberta very welcoming. We have one the largest UE communities in North America. We just don't think the Internet is a good place for doing UE on the whole.

We have seen what has happened in places like Toronto and have decided that UE means somehting different than 200 people exploring Hearn 16 times over. After the first time, it is not exploring anymore. It can still be worthwhile but it is something different at that point.

The bouncer keeping people out of the club is why people are so desperate to get in. Without a bouncer it is just a TGIMcFridays.

Just an update to anyone interested in this location.

Cameras are now positioned on all corners of the building. There are many windows that have been smashed out, and it looks as though it has been generally completely trashed, both by renovations and by vandals. Not sure what caused all this to happen, I noticed it a couple weeks ago and looked at it again last night to find the heightened security. I would recommend that this is probably not only not worth exploring anymore, but they might actually be taking security very seriously there now, which is a shame.

Why would they put an expensive surveillance system around an abandoned building? Are you sure they are not just decoys?

Because it is not an abandoned building, it's simply under renovations for condos, and if their stuff is getting messed with, they will get pissy especially in that area. :<

Bah the building is guttednow anyway. Most of the things that made it cool are gone.

The embalming fluid in the morgue, Charts in the lab showing the right weight for a liver, Therapeutic hot tubs, dark rooms for x-ray that smelled of dektol, working machines in the ORs, Props left from Intern Achedemy, parts of patient records, old computer terminals, gerneys to ride, candy srtiper uniforms, bedpans, the list goes on.

It is all gone now.

I have no interest in going back. Someone let all the discovery out, and without that, it is not exploring.

If you want a challenge go for Heritage Mall.
