| | | Anyone here from manhattan, ks or KSU? there's plenty to explore around here < on 11/9/2005 2:55 AM >
| | | just wondering if anyone else was from this particular area, given that there's a rather large university here in manhattan, i would expect to find at least a few fellow explorers. im studying architecture here at ksu, which affords certain opportunities, given that our building (built in 1909) used to be a steel foundry and is connected to the older foundry (1880's i think) and seaton court (1878?) by a building called "the link" which im pretty sure used to be the old steam plant for the university. needless to say, the building is well linked to the steam tunnel system and is open 24-7 i've got some pictures if there's any interest. a lot of the tunnels right around seaton must be at least 96 years old, much of the rest of the core campus tunnels are at least pre 1940, so things are pretty interesting. anybody made it into, or even heard of, the old reservoir on top of manhattan hill?
