UE ing Rita damaged houses/buildings

Anyone from southeastern TX(Port Arthur or other areas)
UE'd any houses/buildings (vacant or abandoned) damaged by Hurricane Rita? I have just today while looking for scrap wood that people are discarding along with other hurricane debris. Hotel Sabine downtown which is abandoned
has some plywood along with some doors ripped open or off
at ground level allowing easy access inside. Went inside it to find some still good pieces of 2x4 boards to use for repairs which I did find. Also UE'd a trailer park in which some trailers were either destroyed, half destroyed or literally bent. Some other places I usually UE are fire damaged houses or buildings. Didn't think of bringing my camera with new batteries with me in order to take photos of all the hotel's ten floors.

Exploring buildings is one thing but I wouldn't feel comfortable exploring someone's house until I was positive nobody was ever coming back to it. Even then I would feel like I should wait a couple of months. It just seems wrong to me for some reason. I did, however, get che chance to drive around New Orleans for a few minutes a couple weeks ago. Things are much better there now but I didn't really see the most heavily damaged areas. Even so, there was a large pile of debris outside of almost every building.

Isnt that looting?

Even if it isnt there are some folk that'll drop the hammer on your ass for being in their house stealing 2x4s.

Wow I wonder what I would do if my home or business was damaged and I came home to find someone inside rummaging around?
