It depends, what are you exploring? Drains or aboveground? I'd assume aboveground because your talking about train tracks, but you should totally check out the drains too. As for the the tracks, is it in the city or in the middle of nowhere? If it's in the middle of nowhere, I doubt you'll be caught but camo couldn't hurt. If it's in the city, try wearing workman's clothes. If you look like you belong there, people won't question you.

Can't help you with the TCC... but I notice you access UER through Infiltration. See those links on the left (under Theory, Practice, and Resources)? Follow them, and educate yourself as best you can. There's no simple trick to not get caught and not die (aside from not being stupid, of course), the best you can do is read about other people's adventures, paying attention to what they did wrong, and what they did right.

In general, it's common sense. Just be careful. Asbestos will be the prime hazard topside. If you encounter it, get a good resperator.

Ergh... Subway tracks don't sounds too safe unless you're sure the third rail isn't powered, i.e. abandoned subway tunnels.

Plus anyone caught in the subways is likely to get accused of terrorism.

Chances are you'll get off with a warning. If you're safe, you probably will never be caught at all. But it does depend a bit on how you look: camera, tripod, "normal" clotes - good; camo jacket, weapon, sparaypaint, illegal substances - bad

You probably don't need it. What are you exploring? If it's just an abandoned building, chances are it doesn't have cameras. I guess if it was cold out it wouldn't look suspicious, but at this time of year, just watch for cameras, maybe wear a hoody.

In an active or abandoned site? In an abandoned site, if security sees you on CCTV, they'll likely come after you regardless of your face being covered or not. In an active site, you'll just look suspicious.

I'd say... in an abandonment, just move quickly past the camera. In an active site, act like you belong there and nobody will notice a thing.

Try talking to the guy. Just say you want to take some pictures (a camera will help). If he doesn't let you in, go back at night anyway . I take back what I said, though, about abandoned sites usually not having cameras. There's an awesome Turberculosis Sanitorium, and people get arrested there all the time. It's terrible when something like that happens to a great place.

All 3rd rails are to be considered as powered. Even if the power is shut off by emergency at the pull station on the platform, the 3rd rail is still considered live. This is really something not to be naive about.

I know this thread started over a year ago, but today it was at the top of the list. Your probably not considered a "noob" anymore. One thing you should do is NOT use the words breakin into to describe your intentions. Your exploring. You don't want to say you are intentionally committing B&E.
