Recent exploration

These are some shots from a recent trip I took to a site I thought was long gone. I had purposely driven by it a couple of years ago to see if anything was left of it but it looked like it had either fallen down or been plowed down. I was doing some research on another site going back and looking at arials of the area and lo n behold there it was, still there in some 2005 shots, it was just hidden from the road by trees and sets back further than I remembered. Anyway, growing up there were stores it was a "insane asylum" of course a 10 year old will believe anything that sounds cool and scary. The reality I think is it was just an old nursing home set on a small farm. It's a great place to work on photo skills some nice corridors, lots of peeling paint etc... Wish I had more history on it and will try and find some.

Heres a few shots, I will probably post more later as I process them ...

I posted this in the Photo section but am putting it here with the post of the site to.

Furniture pile out back with pile of tires. I dont think this is from the original place though, think it's just random dumping.

Actually they obviously use the building for shelter... plenty of pies all over the the place! All in all it was a pretty good day on this one. I hope to go back again soon.

Wow, that looks like a ridiculously photogenic place. Good find.

Thanks Noah, yea I think I will be going back to just work on doing some low level lighting shots and such, it's a great place for it. BTW thanks for the PM, I'm glad you appreciated the humor.
