| | | it's near mckinney, i gather it's not appropriate to give out addresses in the forum, so if you want to know email me. i've been there a handful of times since the first time i got in looking for another way in where i wouldn't have to break anything and have only seen a couple guys trying to learn how to ride motorcycles in the parking lot.

cool pics and yeah its frowned upon to post details in a public thread (the little eyeball next to the subject line means publicly viewable) that means anyone can see what you wrote. cops, security, fire dept, property managers, Joe the janitor etc thats why the mod censored your post we want to avoid attracting unwanted attention to some places, hope this helps thanks for the pics, also, another good idea is to read the forum rules

| | | you would be surprised by the sheer number of shopping malls that are sitting abandonned in north america, one place i once worked had originally been a small neighborhood mall. when it was turned into a strip mall the central corridor was removed except in a few spots, one AC company used thier spot in the building as a warehouse and the old mall corridor part was this strange 'nice' area in the middle of the warehouse

| | | got back in yesterday. i took some more pics that i'll post tomorrow. the creepy thing was some of the lights were still on. that combined with the wind freaked me out a bit. especially near the old mall offices, some of the flourescent lights were just barely glowing so i could almost just barely see where i was going (wasn't planning on stopping yesterday so i didn't have a flashlight. some boy scout i turned out to be ) i really want to go check out the offices and restrooms now, but i feel like i may be pressing my luck, so i think i'll wait for awhile til i try again. although anyone else that wants to give it a go, email me and i'm more than happy to pass along directions. as well as how to get in. pics tomorrow.

| | | got in again the other night. here are the promised new pics. my favorite is the sign on the door that says its on a constant alarm. oops, kinda went through that door... also, gotta love the early 80's design on some of the facades. the last pic is a chair just outside of the drain tunnel.

| | | Looks like some lights may have been on, or he used a tripod + long exposure. 2x, check out my photos from the Garland hospital - those were all at night, lit only with flashlights.

| | | What kind of outlet mall is this? No wonder it died! It has no brand names that I can recognize (and I visit outlet malls a few times a year). And an ugly mall at that

| | | I've been by that place before but had no idea how it looked on the inside! Looks like some designer was on an acid trip! It reminds me of something you;d see in a cartoon. Cool find though!

| | | Just noticed something weird... I tried to look up the address on Google Maps - and it gave me the full name of the mall + a listed phone number. I tried calling it, and the number is active - but whatever is hooked to it is off the hook (busy signal). So somebody's still paying the phone and electric bills.. Just a shot in the dark, but there's a chance whatever alarm system there is hooked to this line - may explain why nobody showed up after the "alarmed" door was opened. sorry, guess that wasn't exactly clear - last night meant after work. it was still very bright out and there are skylights through out the entire place. and as some of you have said - very creepy. the wind plus the buzz from some dieing flourescent lights.. *shivers* [last edit 9/6/2005 1:44 PM by what - edited 1 times]
