| | Just throwing this out there... < on 8/4/2005 7:41 AM >
| | | I do apoligize ahead of time... Sorry... As I have been digging deeper and deeper into the fascinating topic of UE, I have been plagued with the thoughts of my old freaky house in Burnaby. When I was a wee one (Early 90's) I lived in a house in Burnaby on top of Capital Hill. The Address was "28 Delta ave". It was close to Confederation park elementary school... Anywho, It was a 2 level house on it's own "mini hill". It was white with grey, and had a case of stairs running up the side of the house ( you could see this from the front view) To my understanding, the house went vacant within a year of moving (1998?). I heard some rumours that they were going to tear it down but I"m not sure if they went through with it. I know this is one of those posts that is pretty hard to reply to...but if anyone has been there or lives in that general area, I would love to know what has happened to it. I've been thinking about that place more and more in the passed few weeks. It was a weird house... Thanks so much! -Melissa

| | | yeah I moved from that city A Looong time ago. I'm out in Victoria now. I haven't been to that place since 1999 or so. I drove by in 2000 and if my memory serves me correctly, it was still there... 28 Delta Ave.

| | | I drive past Capital Hill every day. Was curious and took a quick look today. Couldn't find any derelict buildings, but I did find this little gem. I don't know if it's yours, but it's the only 28 I saw on Delta. Nobody, it looks like you're right about the landlords

| | | ...wow... That's not the house, but the property looks "up to par". The house was on a hill...just like this one is. The design of the "new 28 Delta house" fits the mould for that neighbourhood; I remember new houses coming up all the time that looked like this one... Thanks so much for taking the time to take the picture and all that...that's amazing... When I was living in that house there was a small (i mean SMALL) pink house across the street, a small dull boring symmetrical building on the left, and on the other side of the road (also on the left) there was a pink gaudy looking place. ON the right hand side there was a rather modist house. 2 floors, very colonial... I wouldn't be surprised if this was the house that replaced the former "28 Delta ave"...
LIke I said...Thank you soo much! I never have the chance to go to Burnaby and check this stuff out, but it has been on my mind! Thanks! -Melissa

| | | Well this was on the corner of Delta ave and Empire drive, right where it turns into N.Delta Ave. If I'm not mistaken there were some old, smaller houses straight across the street from it, but they looked lived in as well. I just did a very quick drive by and took that one shot from my window, so yeah I may have missed a bunch of stuff. Nobody, if you happen to be out that way maybe you'll find something I didn't notice. As for that old house to the left, it also looked lived in, but I didn't get a good look at it because I realized I was hungry and went on my way.
