| | | Thats only cause you carry 2 tripods with you. If you'd stick to one and a maglight you'd have more than enough spaces for whatever it is you call your "equiptment".

Nope, I only carry one tripod with me and it has nothing to do with my camera! You know what they say, "Big paws, big tripod"!

| | | Well, first of all, nice thread, really fun read. Second, guys do have a solution if you want to carry equipment without using a bag or backpack, or if you just need it concealed. The trick is to find a non-loose fitting shirt and design and implement (sew) a system of pockets for any equipment you need so that you can move freely wearing it. For those of you who dont remember home economics class and stitching has suffered over the years, reinforce with duct tape. If your willing to shell out cash you can buy body holsters for your equipment (These are not easy to source, and are seldom design for UE items) or you can adapt your own holsters with a system of tight velcro straps holding your equipment to your body. You can get suitable velcro cording from dollars stores if you disassemble water bottle holders made of velcro and plastic fabrics. Things to watch for in all mentioned methods are symmetry of weight, comfort and making sure everything is fully secured. If the weight is not balanced, you will notice it in movement (trust me.) Comfort and circulation is important because, lets face it, who wants to be discomforted? (... Non Sexually.) As you can guess, making sure everything is secured is important because no one wants flash lights, first aid kits and other goodies falling out of their shirt or pants. If anyone has any other questions about holdout, feel free to post them. [last edit 12/22/2005 4:44 PM by ChronoLogix - edited 1 times]
