Yeah, you know what? Why don't you tell us that after you get arrested because you pissed someone off on an internet forum. Then maybe we'll all take your oh-so-insightful wisdom to "let them do what they want" a little more fucking seriously.

Always very easy to say "let people do what they want" when it isn't having an impact on you directly. It would be much harder to say that if it was your life getting fucked up because somebody decided to do whatever they wanted... Look a little farther than your own nose and you might see a few things...

| | | Banning may be for pussies but snitching is for loser scumbags with no job and too much time on their hands. Pussies on the other hand rank much higher, they are at least human fuckin beings.....And if people can do whatever they want then snitches should get a blanket party. And no one wants to be on the recieving end of that, so banning is the next best thing I guess.

| | | So, does anyone have anything new or different to say on this topic, or can we lock it now? Seems like both sides have repeated themselves at least 20 times now. Ninj http://www.infiltration.org

| | | We as a collective group, should try to make sure anything that any potential snitch would use against us, as a group or one individual is kept better protected. I dont mean to state the obvious, however, countless little things that people do and say on the forums and in the chat rooms could be potential "ammo" for any snitches. So instead of asking the question, 'should they be banned or not?' we should be asking ourselves 'why have we given a group or a select individual enough cause and "ammo" to do anything about it?.' Of course being an urbex site there is always going to be enough information just by viewing the site to 'drop a dime'. but, if people would watch what they say and the fights they get into specifically the flame wars, tempers would not run high and i feel that we would not even have a problem with snitches. Same goes for the ongoing ethical debate, for one person who is against stealing goods from sites, they'll be another who views it as saving artifacts. this goes without question, but now that we have a common interest which goes beyond urbex, the interest is not getting arrested or harassed by the police, and also making our passion for urbex less sketchy in the worlds eyes, we need to watch what we say even if we disagree with each other. this alone will give the potential snitches far less to work with if there is nothing worth while to tell on. not to mention if no one is extremely angry with another person then there should be far less telling on someone in the heat of the moment.
hope this made some sense .02

| | | This community is built on trust; everyone who posts here and submits locations to the LDB is trusting the other members of the community to not rat them out or burn a location. If somebody has resorted to ratting a fellow member out (especially over something as stupid as internet drama), they are not to be trusted. Period. I think based just on that they should be banned because we can't afford to have untrustworthy people on this site? I like the idea of a SNITCH STAR?
