not sure if this has been covered i checked quickly and found nothing. hope i didn't over look something.

what are the check boxes going to before?

if you have no clue what im talking about look next to the page where the poster posted from. if that makes sense.

You shake my hand, say “pleased to meet you.” Look me in the eye, I don’t believe you. TUI, as long as I’m still alive. I live despite you. Realize I’m not one of your kind, I’m nothing like you.

You should ignore it as Av is working on it. It's not going to be an ignore button.

In fact, I believe if you click on it, it explicitly tells you to ignore it.

given the nature of the people here, a curious checkbox is no doubt going to peak interest...and being only told to ignore it makes me wonder more...

but now I will ignore it ;)

It's a new feature Av's working on, it's not finished yet

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

It is part of a thread splitting feature Av is developing these days. Once it's finished, I expect that the checkboxes will likely disappear for everyone that doesn't have mod powers over the thread being viewed.
