Maturity Levels of fellow Explorers

This just annoys me to a point that just makes me wonder if I am on this webpage with a bunch of 8 year olds.

Here is a copy of a message I just received about a location I found and told this person about. I do admitt that after a basic scout of the place I wasn't overly interested in it anymore as I am more into factorys and institutions. But he still enjoyed it and went back there many times exploring it.

Message from UERMail:

Greetings.

I respectfully request a transfer of the 11666 Yonge Street location
over to me. This is nothing personal at all, it's just that I want this
location due to the amout of missions I've gone to it, photos taken,
historical work done, and contact with the property owner (a customer of
mine at {Store Name}).

Please le me know what you think.

Location in Question: http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=21526

Now personally I don't really care.. But after I read this thread posted in another location I just think he is getting a little too demanding for no real reason.

http://www.uer.ca/...id=&threadid=14083

It seems that it has always been a competition to him to get UE Locations under his own name, and sometimes he can be very anal about it.

What do you people think about it? Should I bow to his requests or should I just ignore them?

Roadwolf,

Okay let me start off by saying, "What a loser." Referring to the person in question.

Second of all, who the FUCK does he think he is walking around all high and mighty and shit, "I went there more" "my dick is bigger than yours" blah blah blah blah. For someone so demanding he should meet up with my steel toes in a dark alley.

Like seriously, how old are we here? My two children who are both under the age of 5 have more maturity than him. It's pretty sad when a child acts better and more civilized than some loser that has an ego issue and is out to prove something.

Why is marijuana not legal? Why is marijuana not legal? Its a natural plant that grows in the dirt. You know what's not natural, 80 year old dudes with hardons. Thats not natural, but we got pills for that. We're dedicating all our resources to keeping the old guys erect but we're puttin people in jail for smoking something that grows in the dirt.

Dito.

And correct me if I'm wrong but the person in question has none of their "numerous" photos in the gallery.

I thought that the whole point of the UEDB was to document sites, not to compensate for a lack of one thing and make your E-Penis bigger.

Come on.

*EVERYBODY* has just as much of a right to make a gallery as anybody else.

Bottom Line: If you wanted credit for it so bad, you would have made it before Roadwolf, plain and simple.

Just a suggestion...next time, make a gallery RIGHT AWAY, and just post a picture of a map or something. That way, you will get credit for it right away.

But yeah, I completly agree with what everyone above has said. It's a god damn location...if it makes you feel like your dick is bigger just because you're the one who created it, well, I'm sorry, but that's pretty pathetic.

Yeah, it might be annoying but I'd just let it go. Wherever you go, online or off, you're going to meet people who are nice, and people who aren't nice. If you let things get to you, you'll just be pissed off all the time, and life's too short for that.

People who are concerned about locations being turned over to them should go out and explore new locations. People who are being harassed by people who are concerned about locations being turned over to them should also go out and explore new locations, if only to have positive experiences to outweigh the negative ones. And people who post about people who are being harassed by people who are concerned about having locations turned over to them should be shot for creating unwitting irony.

Wait a second...

(Seriously, though, I think everyone needs to calm down. Everyone.)

I think that by using "this person" as an attempt not to point directly to the person, then linking to a thread Octane made, kinds of makes the whole "lets keep this persons identity hidden" pointless, if not dishonest. Are you doing it on purpose?

I think that this is a storm in a glass of water. You dont want to pass the location to him then dont. You want to? then do.

Thanks MatC.

I should add that if someone is harassing you through PMs, you can block them easily. Also, the LDB is not about who can claim the most locations as "theirs". This is supposed to be a cooperative effort on the part of the whole community, not a contest. But I find the whole matter isn't even really worthy of its own thread, and if it threatens to head towards flame war, I'm locking it.

Oh goody! Time for my opinion!

I sent that as a PRIVATE MESSAGE as a request as per AVATAR-X's advice in asking the holder of the location nicely to switch. He was fine with the idea as long as I ask.

Roadwolf.....drop your personal vendetta against me immediately. YOU are the one being immature by wasting a thread in the FORUM ISSUES section of this forum.

Moderators: Please LOXOR this thread before it becomes a flame war.

Everyone else: Don't get dragged into Roadwolf's personal vendetta against myself. Thank you.
