What to wear on your while exploring? I prefer wearing a watch cap for colder days or just nothing, but it depends...

I found this fun tropical helmet for explorers... Might get you out of trouble if you meet anyone...

Dr. Livingstone, I presume?

And for a measly $20, it's a bargain!

i tend not to wear hats in the summertime. i'm a furnace so trapping excess heat seems ridiculous.

boonie hats are fine for sunshine, breaking the outline of the head, etc. but, i like having directional hearing. and to me the boonie distorts sounds coming from behind. folding it up looks fine if you're a navy seal surrounded by other seals doing it, but on your own walking down the street you look...odd.

in the winter time...watch caps rule...just because i don't want my ears separating from my head due to freezing. black baseball hats are a staple year-round. wear them backwards with your tac-goggles, or straight on when you're leaving.

thanks to genetics i have a receding hairline...so i need to conceal that mirror/light beacon on my head as much as possible.

I didn't make the world you live in, I make the world you live in...SCARIER.

I usually don't wear anything on my head, but sometimes I wear a toque (watch cap) or ball cap if I enter a spiderweb-encrusted or dusty location. People that wear something on their head -may- attract more unwanted attention than people with nothing on their head.
