| | | Hey, and while we're at it, could someone go change that since whoever wrote it can't spell "Lens"?

well I find there are a lot of useless things in there, but some of the entries are interesting and informative

| | | Yeah, mainly it's helpful to newbies who probably don't understand what we mean when we say "CSO", or "Snotsicle", or "Point of Entry", or any number of other terms we use or have come up with three-letter acroynms for. UE does have some terms peculiar to it, so for that it's useful. But entries like "Telephoto lens"... I'm not sure that's really specific enough to UE to warrant an entry. Perhaps the Encyclopedia should get ratings like the LDB has. I'll admit I've added one silly entry, but it is a valid term for anyone who attended NEOPEX (and I hope it spreads ).

| | | I took care of the duplicate entries (with the first one, the post had been deleted but the thread had not, creating a weird situation for non-moderators) and the glaring spelling mistakes in the fisheye entry. I've always grumbled about how much nonapplicable and irrelevant or just plain dumb stuff is in there. I've even cleaned out some of it at times, but the authors tend to come back to me via PM, whining and complaining about it. I really think it would be nice to somehow disassociate the encyclopedia star with pure number of entries. A rating or "click to place a vote for deletion" link could help.

I tried to find "rope ladder" the other day to find a good plan, but it wasn't there, at least now I know what a "rope" is...

| | | Well, I would propose at least two ratings: - Quality and Depth of Information - Specificness/Applicability to UE So while the article for rope might be very complete (and I have no idea if it is, just using it as an example), if it doesn't cover specific applications to UE, then it would get a low score in the second category. Sound like a good idea?
