| | | They are considered tools for burglary and you can get into a lot of legal trouble for having them on your person.
The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark. |

Uhhh let's think about this, you asked is it legal to use a bump key to break into a building that you're not suppose to be trespassing onto. You do realize the act of UE is an illegal activity?

| | | Never has a question and a avatar lined up so well. Look, if you are new and will be asking some less than stellar questions I implore you to search first. I find that search would have likely netted zero results because this question is the first of its kind. Ever. Any who if you don't find the question post it in the rookie section. Veterans go there and help answer questions. And usually we are nice. We get spanked if we're bad. But some of us like that. TL;DR Of course it's illegal to use bump keys on property you don't own to gain access inside. Plus if used improperly it can damage the lock. Ask these questions in rookie forum. | | | Many people here break the law in ways that no lawmaker or judge cares about. So if you use bump keys to access some abandoned building and leave with the door locked, no one will care except perhaps a power-tripping cop. Be sure to lock that door behind you so that you don't make it easier for people to go about illegal activities that lawmakers and judges actually care about like theft, arson and drug dealing. | | | Hell yeah its illegal, But your a lot less likely to get busted for having a bump key than a sledge hammer. you can 'drop' a key and have it disappear at the first sign of heat. Personaly, i wouldn't. Not worth the risk.

You know, if you can't figure out these kinds of questions for yourself....you need to find a new hobby. Try not to buy any magic beans on your way home from school.

| | | Damn we are tough on new folks here. not quite as Flam-esque as days of yore, but......... IMHO, CARRYING a bump key is a bad idea. As already expressed, it's a burglary tool and you don't want to be ridin dirty. That being said, one can be MADE with the Coke I'm drinking and the scissors on my Leatherman in seconds. For what its worth. Edit: Totally fucking wrong. I'm thinking padlock shims. Drunk post. Carry on. [last edit 2/9/2014 3:54 PM by Jonsered - edited 1 times]
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |
