Urban Skiing: Detroit < on 12/11/2013 2:21 PM >
The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark.

I'm curious to know how long it takes to set up some of those tracks. I can imagine that is quite a vigorous undertaking that would be exhausting. That is some serious dedication. Flickr: http://www.flickr....os/kenfagerdotcom/

The commentary is a bit ridiculous, but the skiing is excellent. "Great architecture has only two natural enemies: water and stupid men." - Richard Nickel

I've never built urban jumps on that scale before, but we used to build small kickers leading up to handrails and urban jumps off retaining walls, and you're absolutely right it's totally fucking exhausting. In the summer we'd sometimes steal snow from outside arenas, often having to make 3 or 4 loads with a trailer. Definitely more of a workout than the actual riding www.tohellandback.net

This is ridiculous. The size of those jumps at the end were monstrous and the way they built it up using cinderblocks and tires and pallets was sweet. Thanks for sharing! Almost makes me want to get back into skiing. Facebook: https://www.facebo...ejumperphotography Flickr: http://www.flickr....otos/63094046@N06/

This video is amazing. Watching it got me pumped and wanting to do something. What I don't understand is that Poor Boyz is a very successful company with seemingly large resources available yet the skiers are doing all the work, wearing raggedy clothes, and doing the skiing. I understand the build your own jump mentality, since you are trusting your life to it. I just hope these kids are getting paid properly.
I might be totally wrong in my interpretation. I know the pro skateboard scene has always been a DIY thing, with low budget road trips etc, I just thought skiing was different somehow... -free

Wow, thats some amazing skiing. Great link !!! It must've taken numerous hours on site to get it done (without being noticed?)
Love videography on how they make setting up look so easy. Just like tv car shows. Oh look I"m clean and not bleeding and we just stripped the motor in 4minutes. lol. " I am a leader, not a follower, unless it's a dark place, then fuck that shit you're going first.." ~quote stolen from FB

One of my summer job co-workers filmed this edit, and yes, the work they put into shooting a location like this is pretty crazy. Seriously phenomenal edit, skiing just gets sketchier and sketchier.
