After last minute plan changes found me getting together with friends in the Forest City, I decided to pay a third visit to a spot suffering ruination at a rapid pace.
Accompanied by my lady and friend D.S., we made our way through the vast spaces all the while accompanied by a symphony of scrappers up near the front. A room which was suffering a torrent of melt water from above last time I went was strewn with para for the sick of mind, body and soul. The lower boiler room was unfortunately not yet frozen enough for us to enjoy one of the highlights of this stepped on location. Next time. Thanks for viewing.

Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground, Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave!
Excellent set, dude! This place looks so fucking familiar, it's killin' me!
Here's a live version of Hand of Doom from 1970. Ozzy fucks up the lyrics something fierce, lol!

That's the Paris 1970 concert - some debate as to whether it really was Paris or not. There's also some alternate lyrics for Black Sabbath as well. I had the entire concert on VHS (yes, it was that long ago).
The dandy candy is sure decaying. Not a person in sight both times I visited. [last edit 12/11/2013 10:28 PM by Intrinsic - edited 1 times]

I bought the Paris show on VHS at a bootlegger's convention back in '89 for $20. The dude that sold it to me had it on an imported French Laserdisc but since the player wasn't compatible with his VHS, the audio was great but the picture was barely discernible. I got a better copy on DVD for $40 from a local retro vinyl store about six or seven years ago. The concert was dated before the release of paranoid and Ozzy hadn't memorized Geezer's lyrics yet. I never heard about the location rumor though. "Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?"
