Paranormal Experiences While Exploring

Now I know this is a goofy topic to bring up as I am sure not everyone on here believes in the boogey man or ghosts. But some do.

And I was wondering if any of you have ever experienced something paranormal'ish while exploring. Like heard voices but couldn't figure out the source. Random doors opening and or closing. Stuff like that. After all its almost haloween.

Thought a little haloween scare fun is in order. And I am sure alot of you have fun tales to tell. Cheers ^_^

I died a little inside.

However, for personal experiences, haven't seen or heard anything out of the ordinary. Yet.

I haven't felt a thing which probably makes it easier to explore instead of worrying about ghooooooosties!

I had a girl tell me that she had an experience at one of my favourite locations. She was walking down a tunnel and heard voices and footsteps a half step behind her. She also felt like she was followed by an apparition with very long legs and was very dark.

I wish she was joking.

Nothing like being spooked by your own footsteps and shadow in an echo-y tunnel.

I went to Korea's "most haunted" location, an abandoned mental hospital that CNN inexplicably named one of the seven "freakiest places on the planet" (probably not even one of the seven freakiest mental institutions). We were told before going there not to bring cameras because the ghosts would stop them from working. That was easily disprovable.

When we first got in, we heard doors slamming below us and feet stomping, and whoever it was was swearing very loudly in Korean. Turned out to be teenagers, though that was better than my greatest fear: the property owner.

On one floor, there's a crosswind where doors get blown open and shut all the time, resulting in random door slams. One of my friends ran off afraid, and the other one ran after her, leaving me alone for about 15 minutes.

Long story short: if ghosts exist, they don't hang out in abandoned places.

On Halloween a few years ago I signed us up for a flashlight tour of an abandoned mansion.
I didn't do it for UE, just thought it would be a fun thing to do for Halloween.
It was hosted by the Parks Department and everything was free. They provided starbucks, cocoa, all kinds of food. Really cool.
The crew from the "ghosthunters" show was there too. The tour was informative and not about anything creepy/scary but as we entered an upstairs bedroom I felt a tunnel sensation, got dizzy and crazy nauseous. I sat down and was literally hyperventilating while the tour went on. The docent then asked me if I was ok and got kinda excited when I told her. She called over the ghosthunters and they got all amped up. She says "a lady commited suicide in this room! This guest is having a paranormal experience". I wasn't as thrilled.

After the tour everyone dispersed and a group of teens were out front putting batteries in their flashlite. As it turned on it shone into the mansion dining room and there was a fat man standing there with a gray tophat, vest and pocketwatch. I freaked out and when they directed the light there again he was gone. No clue wtf was with that.

Got that "feeling" a few different times since. Once at a cemetery. There was a funeral going on at the time. I actually laid down on the floor of the mausoleum bathroom for 30min til the feeling passed. I've been to tons of cemeteries but that was a first.
Another notable time was the upper floors of an abandonment in Los Angeles.
I'm not a "faint of heart" type person so I can't really dismiss these incidents as anything BUT paranormal.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

GHOSTS?

"Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?"
"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

Places have their vibes for sure, that's what gives buildings personality in my opinion. I have only once had an experience somewhat strange.

I was exploring with Sands and ekphoto12 at a children's asylum that had an initial vibe that was eerie. In one of the rooms, the door automatically shut, so after testing the knobs, we went in the room to take photos. After a few minutes the door simply opened and shut by itself. Typically I would play it off as my own mind being a little crazy, but the other two explorers noticed it as well. Definitely enough to make it a very uncomfortable exploration.

On another note I constantly question myself if something from an abandonment is haunting my dreams. I have a big piece of paper next to my bed so that I can write down my dreams immediately when I wake up. Almost 9 out of 10 dreams that I have had include abandonments or familiar places I've explored.

some interesting things to keep in perspective:

http://listverse.c...ghostly-phenomena/

That being said, I am a believer. I have things that show up in my pictures from time to time that I can't explain. I try to debunk lens flares/orbs/anything that can be scientifically explained because I think tricks that occur between lens and light are really fascinating. I sincerely try to be aware of my surroundings in a location, but don't focus on feeding any sort of "spooky" vibes that I may be experiencing. Whether there is something there or not, the minute you start amplifying that adrenaline with fear, the experience becomes real.

I don't take enough drugs to see "ghosts" not do I have a chemical imbalance.

OK, maybe I have a chemical inbalance, but it doesn't make me see ghosts.
