| | | Hello all! I am new to this site, but lived in Minneapolis most of my life. I have done some exploration when I was younger and found some really cool houses out in the country (sadly all gone). Lately I have had an itch to try and find other ones or check out some urban ruins. Cheers!

| | | Welcome to UER. It sounds like you've got some explores under your belt. If you have photos share them in the appropriate regional forum.

| | | Welcome! Even if you don't have any photos, you can always have new experiences and take new photos and share them with the UE community. Keep your hands and arms inside the cockpit at all times. We hope you enjoy your stay!

This would be fine advice in other parts of the country. I'd recommend against this.

| | | Thanks for the welcomes! Yea, no I wouldn't feel right posting the pics I have. Loved the places that I had pics of. One of them was burned down because of high school kids and the other fell down on its own. It was bound to happen, the whole building was being held up by some rusty oil drums.

A building only held up by rusty oil drums sounds pretty awesome to me. I'd like to see that!

| | | Sadly the house doesn't exist any longer and the property it was on was redeveloped. I remember that the house itself did not have a visible driveway. You had to know where it was. Once you got up the road, there was the house. The paint was chipping and there was obvious signs that other people had been there like beer bottles and cans. Possibly a squatter hard to say. There were a couple other buildings as well: a silo and a garage/ workshop. I only remember there being one car, a bug maybe? I do have to admit, that I never went up to the first and second floors of the place (the stairs were broken out). The only part that was open was the basement through cellar doors. The basement was nothing remarkable, it had few rooms partitioned off by cement walls. The only room that had anything of interest was the room with the two or three rusty barrels holding up the ceiling. I had to be like sixteen or seventeen when my buddy and I went out there. We stopped going once the property owners had put up a street light near the house and the house got more exposure. I don't think I can find the pictures. If I could it would make me extremely happy! I realize without pictures, this kinda sounds like a fish tale. Have at it

| | | I get what his minds eye sees. He sees things he explored in the past, and it makes him hungry for what he can explore in the future. That doesn't take a great leap to understand. Dukarc, hopefully you'll find more explores in your future. And really, whether you photo-document them for others to see doesn't truly matter. It's nice to see other people's explores. What YOU get out of it, and the enjoyment you get from it, is all that really matters. I've probably posted pictures on 2 out of the last 20 places I've explored. I still HAVE pictures for most of them, I just don't get around to putting them up. The experience itself is enough to keep me going.
Hope to see more from you in the future. Take care.
