Here are 4 pictures that I took of a building near downtown Houston
(sorry for the lack of interior pix, they are forever gone due to my lost phone).

The building inside is empty, and NO, there are no hobos living inside.
In the first floor (or 2nd-I forget) there is a drawing of some type of Greek mythical beast and a woman. In the third floor there is an entry to the roof (but it's hard to access without a rope and a metal beam to Indiana Jones your way up there), and there is also an aluminum ladder attached to an iron chain :/ What I also found inside were ID's belonging to 3 girls. I do not know if they were fake or not. My theory is that nearby high school students would go there to cut school; IDK.

Nevertheless, if anyone wants to join me, I shall return there with the right equipment next time.

1.

I hope she doesn't kill me for this one:
2.

My friend looking thrilled about returning in the daytime:
3.

The plaque for the building:

I am reading an article right now on "Downtown" magazine (for Houston, TX fall 2013 issue) and it describes the upcoming plans for this building (it was also a club called Love Street Light Circus back 1967-1970) that was erected in 1910. Much like Central Square Apts., it will not be around for long. If there is anyone that would like to organize a get-together soon please let me know. I want to go inside one more time (and with my rope this time to access the rooftop) before it's no longer around! A weekend afternoon exploration would be the best time of day to do this, or even in the evening as it get darker.

def recognize that building, good to know there were no hobos when you checked it out! it was the reason that was keeping me from that place, b/c jesus, the number of hobos i always see outside around that block made me suspicious.

anyways, a_z, i'll def be checking it out sometime this year eventually. quite a number of places downtown are getting renovated/demolished, i've gotta grab the chances when i can get them.

Yes, you should get on that soon!
I myself was supposed to go today, but oversleeping and the rain prevented me from going. Nevertheless, I definitely need to go back to this place next Saturday or Sunday. Do not wait long towards the end of the year.

I agree about the hobos. There were always a TON of hobos and poop all around the building. So gross and smelled bad too. I need to go back one day and see. There for sure didn't seem to be much inside from what I could tell the last time I went by there.

I have done a few shoots there over the years but the last time I went there was practically an army of hobos around picking out their night time sleeping positions and the back of the building was covered in poop. Have not been back in a few years.....glad to hear they cleaned it up?

Oh trust me, it hasn't been cleaned up, lol There's still poop all over the damn building.

edit: It's gross that you have to watch where you step.

I cannot complain, Yeya, I'll leave that up to a princess. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, and we all know splorin' isn't a clean activity. You will get dirty and must always watch where you step, part of the thrill!
