~ Man, Dust and Light & Other Industrial Stories ~

Finally, after 2 years I did get back to this "probably biggest mostly abandoned industrial area here in Finland". I did fear if there were anything left to photograph, but what the hell: lot were locked, but in so huge area... there are always something to photograph. I really wish to get back there as soon as possible, now I did get there with my brother and we did have only 2,5 hours to spent there, which wasn't even nearly enough - you should spent at least whole day there. Special thanks to my brother for "modelling".

Very nice set.
Green in the Darkness is my favorite, but I like Dust-Scented Emptiness and the rurex shot a lot, too.

Yeah, much more industrial and I must say that I did really enjoy that difference. But there's no need to worry - old kind of sets are already waiting for release... ;)

Thank you very much! Sad that days are already getting shorter again, so next visit to there will probably be not until next summer... It will be long wait.

Agree!

and picture with "lake view" now makes me wonderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr that in Finland, all the monsterous industrial plants are surrounded with endless forests.

Hey, everything here is surrounded by forests, but sad thing is that actually here ain't any endless forest anymore, they are quite small parts today.

Amazing set. I really think Birch Avenue and The Will of Life are just spectacular.

It sure is. It's best time there were over 1000 employees, which tells something about size of that place. And now it have been mostly abandoned since 1995. There are some action still going on, some parts have find new use, but most of it is abandoned. It sad that it is so far from here, I mean far with my car (90 kilometers it's... quite... scary).

I like that green there too. It must be about lime which make everything grow everywhere. Damned your comments, now I am wondering would I be able to return there still this year...

Nice to see a different location type from you. 1 is great, wonderful emphasis on the figure. I'm also very fond of the stairs.

It's kind of sad that there ain't any abandoned industrial in my hometown - which is really amazing because this town did born because of industry... and now almost everything is gone. Strange.
