I can give a fuck about the 'respect and fame.' I just want to share my real experiences with others of the same inclination. I was astounded by the help given to me by the people who had been here on this forum years longer than I had. Not only did it bolster my confidence in exploring, but it helped me out of my greenie shell. People like you and others here that help new people immensely and it is very much appreciated. I can never say thank you enough to people that help.

I have a very thin skin and it held up quite well during a huge UER Ort Ford outing last year. I find just about anyone will help a greenie if the greenie is willing to go out and show their willingness to learn.
That being said, I contacted xperiment about that cruise ship terminal and he gave me all sorts of info on it. Thought he was a nice person. Just goes to show that you should always take everything here with a grain of salt.

Yeah those weren't his pictures. I've talked to the person who's pictures those are, and it's not him.
I could show you pictures of the pyramids and give you lots of details and info about them... but it doesn't mean jack, or that I've ever been to see them myself.
This guy is being NICE on purpose, to build a network, to get locations.
Which, to be honest, is what a lot of people on here do.
The difference is that he's doing it through deceit instead of guarded honesty.
The weird part is that he's also got his account where he's nice-ish, and he talks to himself using both accounts talking to eachother. Which is smart, because it creates the appearance of different people. Then just SHORTLY after he closes one account, he comes back on and registers a new one.

dude sounds odd, why try to gain trust to gain locations.... when he doesn't seem interested in taking his own pics to gain his own cred? Or rather, if he steals all his photos instead of going to buildings himself, why was he looking for location handouts?

He does go exploring, that was a dupe account he was running. All the photos he posted on that account were stolen.

Ya know, the sad part of this is he PROBABLY came on UER saw how sarcastic, untrusting, and sometimes mean, members can be to new people and just did the wrong thing. Most of us have developed a thick skin on here.

Apparently, on UER, plagiarism isn't considered a grievous sin. *shrugs*
And, you can get away with multiple accounts as long as you're someone like Rinzler aka played/plaid / Shocked. Perhaps by having friends in the mod team? I'm not sure.
The bottom line is that there are no hard-and-fast rules on UER.
Everyone is judged according to a differing set of standards; based on which mod(s) take notice, what they had for breakfast, and how full the moon is.

Not sure why LTV was banned, but if you check out this site http://www.moderndayruins.com/ and scroll down 2/3rds of the way, they clearly give him credit for the pics, and if you check this site http://www.avoidin...naval-housing.html and scroll down you can see where Josh aka LTV was asking for his due credit. I emailed Sandi myself, and have not received a reply, but I will update this when I do.

He was banned for having multiple accounts on UER, logged in from the same IP address.
One of those accounts he used to plagiarize ALL the pictures posted with created stories, in order to "look like" a really great explorer and to pump people for location info.
So whether he ACTUALLY took the Santa's Village pics or not (and he may have, that's fine), it doesn't mean that he DIDN'T do the things I just listed.
You can hardly blame us for wondering which pictures he actually DID take, and which ones he stole, when we find out that he stole a whole shit load while posting as a different user. It wouldn't be THAT much of a stretch to think he may have done the same thing on his primary account.
**EDIT**
Since you got here, Jrock, you've almost exclusively posted in the threads where this was all coming out, and very little anywhere else, and no real content of any kind.
So... are you only on UER to push the LTV case around and try to defend him? Or are you actually here for some other reason? Why don't you post in any other threads? Pictures? Explore info? etc? Jeez.
I'm just asking.

His banning had nothing to do with the photos he posted from moderndayruins.
LVT was banned because he made a second account under the name Xperiment, and posted photos from a film scout's website he found, trying to pass them off as his own. To see the thread that started it all, visit this one:

- LVT is Xperiment.
- Xperiment is LVT
- LVT (Under the name Xperiment) posted stolen photos from a film scouts website, while fishing for locations by private messaging various uer members.
