I don't get tired of telling that story of the time my friend and I hung out with two random dudes we ran into in the Paris catacombs. One had a big scar across his eye. The other attached himself to my friend and it turned out he and my friend both had Asperger's. Asperger filled up his backpack with bones and I emptied it when he wasn't looking. Then we ended up watching them shoot up with morphine on a pile of human bones while they made bad jokes about killing us. Scarface tried to steal my map and I had to physically snatch it back from him. Trying to pull any stunts after you've just taken opiates is dumb. People are scarier than any other danger. Now I know not to trust them, even if I meet them in a tunnel full of human bones. Did run into a cool guy in a UK drain though. Therrin  This member has been banned. I guess he was in the mine and came across a few dudes that looked and acted cracked out, wearing ratty leather vests and missing most of their teeth, and they were pushing lawnmowers through the mine. And they had guns. I guess they were drugged up and drinking and shooting stuff out on the tailings pile after he came back out. He was a bit rattled by the whole thing. ^^^ Prime type of reason a lot of us are always armed on mine exploring trips. There are some crazy fucking people out in the desert. Thankfully I've never ran into any evil cults, real or imagined, but I have found black candles and badly drawn pentagrams in a couple houses, and as I've mentioned here before, one house with dogs and cats nailed to the walls of the basement. I didn't really stick around long enough to find out more.
