trespass laws in france?

I am very interested in what, if there are any, trespass laws they have in france, particularly in the paris/dijon region. Im here for study abroad and will explore regardless, however I would like to know what kind of trouble i may be facing if im confronted by the police, security, etc. I have searched around the web and found some vague sources however everything that i have found on the topic seems to be mostly hearsay and often conflicts with other statements. I figured i could probably get some pretty good answers from the members here, either on where to find the information or the information itself. Thanks in advance!
