The single-most important improvement made to the maglite since it's invention. The beltloop caribeaner super clipper.

some things are just too ghetto for even MacGyver. Maybe if you had integrated a cheese grater or something on the other hand...

I've seen some of your gear Mac... and apparently nothing is too ghetto for you pal. ;)

If you cant fuck it, duck it. Anyway, I would fasten it on with some strong copper wire, maybe take off the duct tape.

I did something a bit different, but works kinda the same. For my 4 C-cell maglight, I twist-tied a large steel ring around a belt-loop on my jeans. The steel ring is just slightly bigger then the diameter of the body of my maglight -but smaller then the diameter of the head of the flashlight. If I want to put my flashlight away, I just slip it into the steel ring.

It works as a nice flashlight holster, and it costed me nothing. I guess the only hard part is finding a steel ring with a large enough diameter to fit a flashlight in it.

I made a neat holster from a metal ring I got at home depot for .15$ and a ring from a keychain. Its one of the best pieces of gear I have. I like the idea of the duct tape carabiner tho, I may try that.

Got one of those rings, think the taped thingy shoud be better, specially if you are going to climb around and such, dropped my maglite a couple of times with the ring.

I would use black tape though.

Look - if you're still using duct tape it's time to come out of the dark ages.

EPOXY EPOXY EPOXY...Don't just tape it - BOND IT!

I'd recommend JBWeld for metal-metal applications.

Remember to breathe deeply when mixing and applying epoxy so you can really enjoy your crafting experience.

yeah a maglite holster's cool and all, but having the beaner on the light itself will DEFINITELY do a better job of keeping it attached to your belt than the holster....of course, modding the holster with a flap that could come over the top of the light and clip into place would be just as effective if anyone wants a project : P

The ring idea works, it just depends on how long is the body of your Mag light. My Mag is a 4 C-cell, so the body is long enought so that I dont have to worry about it sliding out of the ring when I dont want it too.

The duct tape works so much better than any ring, since duct tape is fire/water/lava/death-ray proof it'll always hold up through anything, and never come apart.

I have this nifty little accessory.

Has a belt clip, plus it's made out of neoprene, which means you're hands don't get numb from holding onto a metal maglite in cold weather

1)I was thinking about ducttaping 2 caribeaners onto my maglite to attach it to my belt loops, so it would hold itself up.
2)I decided not to, because I depend on my maglite far too much for self-defense.

Sorry, I probably forgot my <sarcasm> tags.

Gotta get... Gotta get... Gotta get...

It's called the Grip 'N Clip and its made by a company called Nite-Ize.

It cost me about $10 and I got it at Target. They have them at Wal-Mart too I think.

Hope that helps.
