| | | Posted by CaptainSqueaky While exploring an abandoned house I found hundreds of newspapers about murder cases, small animals in jars, various animal skulls, squirrel and chipmunk pelts, and letters from the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. I'm curious to know how many of you understand why this is creepy.

Was this in West Boylston?

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

Nope. Meh it didn't creep me out too much just enough to make me think twice about going back, that and the electricity is still on.

| | | I've never seen anything particularly creepy...but there was one time when I was exploring in some underground bunkers that had some VERY long cement hallways (one of them was so long that you couldn't see the end...no joke). Whenever I walked around, the sound of my shoes scraping/hitting the floor would echo off of the wall a half second later, making it sound like something was in there with me. Very creepy the first time you hear it. The picture really doesn't do it justice. 1.

| | | Posted by iriderkick When I was younger and first started exploring my friend and I went into this really old and big abandoned military fort. It had 3 levels and the basement level was pitch black as well as the largest level. The very steep and narrow ladder-like stairway that led down to the basement was surprisingly pretty deep. A good 30ft or so. The surrounding walls and ceilings going down the steps were caked with written graffiti saying "Help me" "Go Back" etc. I chuckled a bit but the one that kinda creeped me out the most was one saying "I SAW HIM". My friend and I paused and just looked at each other like "...what?" and no sooner we glanced at each other we heard a loud metal thud in the basement level we were heading down towards. Climbed back up real quick. Still never explored that basement level.

Sounds like scrappers. I've been in/heard of situations wherein an explorer is enjoying his/her time in an abandonment, whilst a scrapper is doing the same; If one thing may be gathered from said stories it's that they make alot of noise.

| | | Tripped over a fake skull in an abandoned Prisoner of War camp and shrieked, it was in one of the bathroom's a student was murdered. Picked it up and it was just a plastic replica from the dollar store. Still was pretty damn scary.
