Interesting...I for one was unaware that the old Jim West mansion had been repurposed into a custom clothing store by former Houston Rocket and current realtor Hakeem Olajuwon, the owner of the property since 2006.

It was fully vacant and wide open when I shot it in June of 2010...in fact, they even stole one of my photos to use in the article that tipped me to the renovation:

I had been and still want to go try and get in but when I heard about that I didn't know if it would even be possible anymore. I think it's dumb to turn it into that, a waste of beautifulness, imo.

OMG, I just read the story, wth was he thinking, that is just HORRIBLE!!! Very disappointed!!! He totally ruined a beautiful mansion and awesome architecture!!!
