Intro +full life story

Hi everyone,

I've been exploring ever since I was a child growing up in the Australian bush, where my mother would shoo me off at the start of the day and say "Go on, I don't want to see you for 6 hours, go have fun." With double handed shooing motions and a smile.
Wandering and understanding whatever landscape I'm in has always been a driving force.

For along time the sites I explored were abandoned quarries, random caves the occasional abandoned house or shack until a few years ago when I moved to Melbourne and started LIVING in an abandoned building out of a thirst for adventure and throwing myself totally into the urban environment.

I lived here for about 18 months and it was great! (I've seen this location posted here somewhere)

From there and after meeting people into UE in Melbourne things rapidly progressed, with my most recent being an abandoned rural powerstation (I'm back in the country). I've a back log of adventures and images that I'll post over in the world section.

I'll be in Germany for the first half of the year studying as of march and then to Hong Kong for the second half of the year, so I'll definitely be exploring over there

Also I'm a bit of a film whore and don't have access to a darkroom at the moment, hence the crappier phone pictures.

Cheers guys

Wow, living in an abandoned building? That's pretty sweet! Definitely looking forward to seeing more of your explores, sounds like you've seen some cool stuff. It's always awesome when parents grant you the freedom as a child to simply explore, not everyone is so lucky.

Agreed, I was definitely well educated about the dangers as a child plus I think it's a fairly standard thing for anyone growing up in rural areas, no matter the country.
The abando living was interesting that's for sure, no electricity drove me to new creative heights, which I'm thankful for.

Hi 2tung

Is this the power station near Lake Mac?

I heard this place is full of sensors and cameras - how did you get thru them?

You can PM me if you like

In Denmark if you squat in an abandoned building for 2 years and can prove it (that you've been living there, and its abandoned) then you gain ownership of it.

Thats how Freetown-Christiania started.

I may not believe in marriage, but I do believe in best men.
