Hmm not really sure what you mean by this mate, I shoot during the day all the time. This was a specific spot that had a lot of security and is only accessible by night. I have a large series of shots from this venture but these are the ones I want to share and get critiqued. I love the negative space in the really dark ones and the noise in the others. I'm looking for contextual feedback, about these specific shots, not a statement about when I should shoot.

uhh-hem - Weirding, if I may...
Correct me if I am wrong weirdling, but I believe your point is that these are not particularly well composed, lit, or processed. No offense moapy. Those observations imply that you are a beginner. Hence, practicing during the day, etc. The critique forum can be harsh but this is just the beginning.
Let me add a few pointers:
1 and 3 have potential but are not very good as they stand IMO (sorry!). But that's ok. 1 can absolutely benefit from some foreground lighting. A couple speedlights lighting up those doors and then another subtly lighting up the whole front would probably do it. But that's a lot of work and difficult if you are beginner. 3 is lit a bit better. My problem with 3 is the aspect ratio. Did you have to crop out some unattractive stuff from the top portion?
Don't fret, we all take these shots! If the subject is unappealing, or unappealing in color, grayscaling won't fix it. Creative lighting might help, though.
2 is blurry. The rest are just boring in my opinion. Again, don't kill yourself, I think a lot of my own photographs are boring. That's why we get only a dozen or so decent winners out of hundreds of shots taken. This was a bitch during the film days.

#2 is horrible, sorry. It's blurry and way too underexposed. I fear that even if it wasn't blurry or underexposed, the shot wouldn't have much to offer anyway.
#3 I like this one for the most part. I assume this one was around 7 seconds? I would not shoot at ISO 800 unless you really have to or unless you have a full frame sensor.
#4 is dark and very grainy. Again, go down to ISO 400 at least and take a longer exposure and keep trying until it is properly exposed.
#5 Dark again but not too bad. The subject is right in the middle of the frame and shouldn't be here.
#6 It's way too underexposed. I fear that even if it wasn't, the shot wouldn't have much to offer anyway.

Err, actually scrap what I said. I was a bit tipsy, pretty sure I got mixed up and was thinking this was the rookie forum :/
That said, these guys have the right ideas for you. To be honest with the composition and blur in these it does make it seem like a first explore.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. To be honest this set is a (probably failed) attempt at a more artistic approach to night photography. I have more 'properly' exposed versions of each of these shots without as much grain and blur etc. This whole set was a bit of an experiment - the parallax I could do without, but that's the best that lightroom can do and I don't want to get into photochopping too much, I'd rather just learn to take the shot right the first time.
Personally I'm pretty happy with this set, I was going for something different that challenges the 'rules' of exposure. I went a bit over board with the negative space/silhouettes in some of them, but I do prefer very dark night shots I know it's not by the book... but well that's the whole point.
I'm really happy for your feedback though because it means that my tastes in this set are a bit much for most people and should maybe be restricted to personal albums only 
Maybe this sort of shot is a bit more acceptable?
